In high-velocity automated warehouse environments, one unstable pallet can trigger robot stoppage, product loss, cleanup and unplanned downtime. Sciotex’s Pallet Incident Prevention System delivers automated pallet inspection that identifies spill and tip risks in real time using advanced 3D sensing.
In high-velocity warehouse environments, one unstable pallet can trigger injuries, product loss, and unplanned downtime. Sciotex’s Pallet Incident Prevention System delivers automated pallet inspection that identifies spill and tip risks in real time using advanced 3D sensing.
Our pallet inspection solution uses one or more cameras to capture detailed 3D data from pallet sidewalls and top surfaces as loads move through your line. The system calculates spill and tip risk and sends a real-time go/no-go signal directly to your logistics or warehouse management software.
In the example shown, a pallet with overhanging boxes in the upper right corner is flagged as marginal spill risk, with red heatmap regions and plane models indicating a negative tilt angle of about 5 degrees. The system marks this pallet as a no-go, but all go/no-go thresholds can be tuned to match your operation’s risk tolerance.
Each pallet inspection generates a high-resolution 3D point cloud that can be stored for post-processing or re-analysis. Your team can access results as spreadsheets or through Sciotex’s dedicated viewer application.
Pallet inspection parameters and thresholds are configurable to adapt to different inspection lines and pallet conditions.
