Sciotex is looking to fill an opening for a Mechatronics Engineer.
Sciotex is an advanced engineering firm specializing in computer vision, robotics and test automation
systems. This position works at our office located in Newtown Square, PA and allows approximately 20%
Duties include developing and modifying client systems that automate various industrial tasks to meet
client specifications and needs; designing CTI systems and software; researching, designing, developing
and testing operating systems with the Laboratory Virtual Instrument Engineering Workbench (LabVIEW)
environment; assisting in designing and developing operating systems; designing, procuring, installing
and testing components of automation systems; modifying existing systems to correct errors, adapt to
new hardware, and improve performance; Writing and testing LabVIEW code and modify existing code
libraries; assisting in testing and verifying correct operation of systems and software; and writing technical
documents, such as user manuals.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
or a related field and 3 years of experience in a related occupation, OR a Master’s degree (or foreign
equivalent) in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Requires experience
with/demonstrated knowledge of the following: Control Application of Digital Signal Processor (DSP);
Manufacturing Technology; Linear Integrated Circuits & Digital Systems; PLC and Data Acquisition
Systems; Automated Control Systems; Design of Mechatronic Systems; and Process planning and cost
estimation. Employer will accept any level of experience, knowledge, or proficiency in the specific skills
listed. Knowledge may be gained through course work.
